Congratulations to Sunburst’s newest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters highlights a few spots in her home decorated with gorgeous new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

 

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer who definitely has a unique eye for matching colors in her decorating. A quick look at her space shows how she combines neutrals and vivid colors for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but at the same time incredibly stylish.

Chelsey even has some advice for homeowners in Dover and around the country:

• Have a color scheme. When you design a room, you’re always able to play with color to accessorize it. Try to pull in colors from either your interior color pallet or ones that can complement it.

• Be fluid in your color usage. We chose shutters that are vibrant white and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So we chose to mix in splashes of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey pick some fantastic color combos, but the use of space in her home is on point, too. From the placement of her chairs that lead the eyes vertically to the wall and her plantation shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s space is stylish, functional, and altogether livable without ever coming close to feeling cluttered.
